The Alpha Course at HTSC 

 

Ever wondered what it's all about?

Over 2 million people in the UK and 10 million worldwide have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world

Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions and also includes a weekend away 

 

At HTSC, Alpha runs on Tuesday nights between 7:00-9:30pm and is famous for great food and great fun!   A typical Alpha evening starts with supper at 7pm, a short talk from 8:00-8:45pm and then an open small group discussion until 9:30pm

 

The next Alpha Course at HTSC starts on the 14th October 2008, covering the following subjects:

 

30 Sept - Alpha Guest Supper
14 Oct - Week 1 Who is Jesus?
21 Oct - Week 2 Why did Jesus die?
28 Oct - Week 4 Why and how should I read the Bible?
4 Nov - Week 5 Why and how should I pray?
11 Nov - Week 3 How can I be sure of faith?
18 Nov - Week 6 How does God guide us?
21-23 Nov - Alpha Weekend Away (Optional)
25 Nov - Week 7 How can I resist evil?
2 Dec - Week 8 Does God heal today?
9 Dec - Week 9 What about the Church?
