who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

feel huge exhilaration as if have won personal battle on scanning news this morning;  the waiting is over for odd shaped vegetables which are to be allowed back on our shop shelves after 20 years of exile under EU regulation ban.  will enjoy seeing real diversity in vegetables and fruit life of the nation once more.

say this as budding food grower; tomato plants (fruit or vegetable?) looking more like Jack's beanstalk due to excessive English summer (!) but increasing concern at lack of tomatoes.  could be due to novice blunder of putting 9 plants in one pot together leading to battle of the plants (not planets), with smallest having to ketchup. 

have been trying not to worry more recently.  not always successful because am parent and parents always worry (cliche?) and in dark moments think quart being crammed into AK diary sized pot with tidal email system flowing in and out each day.  all this and annual misery of supporting Brit in second week of wimbledon. 

alongside vegetable news, report of 100,000 children running away ("runaways") from homes in UK each year.  one night or many nights for young vulnerable lives without safe place and safe love.  what brings them to that point? not just worry but fear.  Living G please do not let any one of them run into danger or harm, bring them shelter. 

know that many worried,  can't just be overcome.  hearing Jesus on how to face down worry; look for God's Kingdom first, His reality, His love. 

am going to keep trying to put my worries under him.   thankful for family, beautiful church family of all shapes and sizes, work -even emails to not worry about.  looking forward to reaping mighty harvest of 3 minature oblong tomatoes.
